ORDER PROFIT PROTECTOR · QUICK GUIDE

From an order to a clearer decision.

Import your orders, add what each one costs you, then review estimated profit and payment flags.

  1. Choose Free to get started

Open Plans and billing, then choose a plan through Shopify. You see the price and approve any paid subscription there. You can change plans from the same page.

  2. Import recent orders

Open Order import and select Import last 60 days. Leave the page open to follow progress or come back later. The worker keeps syncing in the background. A first import counts toward your monthly new-order allowance; refreshing a saved order does not.

  3. Open an order and add costs

In All orders, select an order and expand Edit order costs. Enter the total product, shipping, payment, fulfillment and other costs for that order. Leave unknown costs blank. Enter 0 only for costs you have confirmed are zero. Choose Merchant estimate for real business estimates, then save.

  4. Review the result and financial checks

Check the estimated profit and payment status, then select Assess order. The app explains each financial flag. A higher score means fewer measured flags. You remain responsible for deciding whether to fulfill; the app never blocks or fulfills an order.

FICTIONAL WORKED EXAMPLE

Sales are only the starting point.

An order with 100.00 USD revenue excluding tax and 68.00 USD in entered costs has 32.00 USD estimated order profit. This contribution is before fixed overhead and any expenses you have not entered.

The payment may still be pending. Estimated profit does not mean the money has been collected.

Common questions

Why does profit show Unavailable?

One or more costs are unknown, the stored order changed, or revenue needs review after a refund or cancellation. Open the order, follow the listed missing-input messages and save the reviewed values. Missing costs are never assumed to be zero.

Do you find my actual product and shipping costs automatically?

No. Shopify supplies order totals and payment status. You enter cost estimates. Cost defaults can fill missing fields when you explicitly apply them to an order; saving defaults alone does not change orders.

Does the score predict fraud or returns?

No. It checks known financial inputs such as margin, shipping cost and payment status. It is a review aid, not a fraud score, loss probability, guarantee or shipping insurance.

What happens when I reach my plan limit?

Saved orders remain available. New orders wait for capacity. After upgrading, use Retry waiting orders in Order import. Otherwise, syncing resumes next UTC calendar month, subject to Shopify’s available order history. No automatic overage charge is added.

Why do the dashboard totals differ from Shopify?

The dashboard includes only orders synced into this app in the selected date range. It separates currencies and test estimates, and excludes unknown profit values. It is not a replacement for Shopify sales reports or financial accounts.

What does the app change in my store?

The app reads Shopify data. Saving costs and assessments changes records inside this app. It does not edit products, capture payments, cancel orders or change fulfillment.
